Brief Introduction

Kushal Byabasaya Paramarsha Tatha Talim Kendra Pvt. Ltd. (Kushal Pvt. Ltd.) was registered as a company in 2008 AD. Kushal has been focusing on product development/testing, entrepreneurship skill development, employment generation training etc.

Kushal is currently working on a national scale. The current working districts are Bara, Parsa, Rauthahat, Chitwan, Makwanpur, Sindhuli, Ramechap, Jhapa, Morang, and Panchthar district.

Kushal has been working since 2008 AD in these regions providing enterprise and employment to the marginalized population focusing on Women, Dalit, Janjati, Religious Minority, Madheshi, and others, who are discriminated and youths and unemployed, under SEE dropouts. Our programs also include women who have knowledge but not skill to use that as an enterprise for economic growth.

Kushal has very good experience in the sector of product development and testing.

 

Kushal has successfully completed 28 APS (Area Potential Survey) in the Bara, Parsa, Rauthahat, Sarlahi, Ramechhap, Panchthar, Baglung & Syangja. It has conducted many entrepreneurship and business skill development for the income & employment of disadvantageous people of this region. It has also conducted skill-based training in various trades and generated thousands of employment in Bara and Parsa directly. It has agreement and linkage with handloom buyers, Muda buyers and sellers, embroidery products seller, Leather shoe business parties etc at Kathmandu. It has prepared a report and manual of product development and testing.

As of June 2013, the company has provided skill training in the following trades; Bricklayer Mason, Mobile phone repair, Dressmaker, Bi-cycle & Risha mechanic, Shoemaker, Junior Poultry technician, Building Electrician etc to 2789 youths where 2574 are in gainful employment, which means we have been able to provide employment to 92% of the people we have trained.

APS/RMA Technique to Conduct:

The Area potential survey (APS) is the method and tools is to use identify the potentiality of area, local resources, local manpower, household, cast wise people and potential youth for micro Enterprise development and employment creation. It is also helpful for the identification of trade and market for the products that can be produced in the area. The methodology of APS is a key informant interview with the key person of the area/VDC. The group discussion is also done with the potential youth for employment creation. The orientation is conduct for identifying the potentiality of entrepreneurship. After that, the visits organize for them who screened for the potential trainees.

Kushal Byabasaya Paramarsha Tatha Talim Kendra Pvt. Ltd. has conducted APS in VDC 23 and 5 in Municipality of Bara, Rautahat, Parsa, Chitwan, Ramechhap, and Syangja with re-support of ELAM/HELVETAS Swiss inter cooperation Nepal, MSFP and GIZ. RMA is the wider mechanism and tools to assess the recent market demand for labor/human power in different trade/occupation. The methodology is similar to APS, there is also key informant interview conduct for the primary information collection, then, group discussion conduct among the potential job providers and employers to find the gap of labor demand in trade/occupation. Similarly, Orientation to the screened potential for the skill training and employment service and make them visit the trade/occupation for the assurance of skill training. Kushal has conducted RMA in 18 trades and identified the gap of human resources in the market.

Innovation/Research and Business development :

Kushal has very well experience in the field of innovation/research. It has research in the sector of

  • • Potential Business from alternative use of electricity in the Syangja district.
  • • Potential business study of the forestry sector in Ramechap district.
  • • Potential business study of banana sub-sector in Chitawan district.

It has done the innovation in the herbal product and innovates the oil extract from the razing of turmeric, which very uses full for ayurvedic medicine. Kushal has innovatively done the Nursery of Banana in this region. Papermaking from Banana trunk is another innovation in Nepal that really generating income and employment from the use of less banana tree/trunk.

Kushal is very experienced to deliver business development services, it has been providing the Business development services to MEDF clients for the business skill and knowledge to start their own business. It has also provided to people those who are participants of DDC-in the program of NPEP. It has also provided business development to the clients of Youth self-employment through Chamber. It has also sold its skills to ING & NGO for the business development and creative services for the self and wage employment creation and existing business development.

Product development and testing/ Employement

Kushal has very good experience in the sector of product development and testing. It had tested to make a paper from Banana trunk, which was wastage of banana tree after the cutting of Banana. Now that wastage developed and used for making a paper and other product diversifying from that paper. Similarly, the leaf of turmeric has no use previously, now Kushal has developed and tested to oil extracted from turmeric leaf coordinating with Natural Resource Pvt. Ltd. & HELVETAS. Through this development, 100 farmers are benefited and 271 thousand per hector income increase additionally. Kushal had also developed testing handloom for the knitting Shat from the cutting thread of Galaicha. Similarly, it had done many testing of school bag making, small galic It had also developed doormat from the wastage. Through these testing, Kushal has been creating 155 jobs and employment from 250 enterprises.


Kushal has mainstream to developed micro-enterprise and employment generation by creating entrepreneurs’ skills. It has oriented entrepreneurs training to marginal and poor people at the local level focusing rural areas of this region. It started its work to develop entrepreneurs to microenterprise development and generate employment among marginal people. Kushal has provided entrepreneurship and enterprise training to 876 people from the disadvantageous group.

Skill & Employment

Skills Training Implementation Modality:

The Company provides skill training directly to the beneficiaries. Training coordinator, METHs and main business party (employer) involve in the skill training delivery for the quality control and market linkage, etc. Kushal has own trainer, co-trainers and training coordinators. Kushal arranges training in close collaboration with existing businesses to make skill learning compatible as per market demand. The following approach is followed to ensure the employment and income of the graduates.

Short Term Training On Mobile (Around 3 Months):

This kind of training is run short term on the mobile basis to provide the skill to the participants on the specific trade/business, which are demanded by the labor market. This is mainly focused on one local community by exploring the local resources, manpower, market, etc. After the training, the participants are able to produce the goods/services as per the market demand.

Sub-Contracting

Through this training, the organization minimizes the management complexity as well as to maintain the competitive position of big business. Big business usually sub-contracts for the supply of a required part, components, and semi-finished products to other small ancillaries business or producer groups as per their benchmark at a competitive price. For the quantities and qualitative production of ancillaries, group skill transfer to entrepreneurs and create meth among them to maintain a channel of production and supply between business organizations (Factory) and micro-entrepreneurs.

Business To Business (B to B) Skill Transfer:

This is informal skill transfer training. In this one business personnel transder his/her skills to another one by providing one on one like “Guru Chela” model. This really supports to start the small business and growth of own business.

The Kushal has been conducting many short term and mobile-based skill training till date. These skills based training provided to 350 of disadvantageous people of this region. Through these skill training about 1000 of peope are directly and indirectly employed. Similarly the company provided entreprenuership skill training to those who want to be self and wage employment. 800 people were trained about business skills for self and wage employment and out of them, 35% started their own business or rest are enhanced their own business.The company has conducted these training with support of Elam, Ministry of labor and Employment, VSDTC, MEDF-Bara aand SEIS program as well as other business parties.

We Focus On

Since the condition of Women, Dalit, Janjati, Religious Minority, Madeshi, and others, in Nepal is quite bad, so we focus on empowering such marginal population. We have been conducting many programs to uplift the quality of life of Women,  Janjati, Religious Minority, Madeshi, etc in districts like Bara, Parsa, Rautahat, Chitwan, Makwanpur, Sindhuli, Ramechap, Jhapa, Morang and Panchthar districts.

Target group selection for APS/RMA & skill training and employment.

  • Person whose family income below Rs 36,000 annually.
  • Out of school or under S.L.C
  • Youth who are economically poor and socially discriminated
  • Unemployed people age between 16-40 years.
  • Substances entrepreneurs, Landless, Occupational cast and women
  • The targeted groups are especially from deprived, marginalised group from Dalit, Madeshi, Janjati, Physically disabled, HIV Positive, girls who are trafficked and returned back, internally displaced due to conflict and other indigenous groups.
